Life through a lens + Art Project - Foody Friday, Chocolate Tree Decorations

Nice and simple.

For this you can use any kind of chocolate, dark, milk or white.

Break the chocolate up and place in a glass bowl. Place this bowl over another bowl or a saucepan of hot water. I usually use a mixing bowl and put a tea towel underneath to stop it slipping. Mix around until all the chocolate is melted to a consistency where you can pour it. At this stage if you wish you can add some food flavouring, rum, mint, orange, whatever you fancy really. Just a little drop though. :D Mix this in careful. Next pour the melted chocolate into your mould, you can use whatever you want, I've got some Christmas ones. Once poured in give the mould a little tap to knock out the air bubbles and then place in a sturdy safe place in the fridge to cool and set. When set, empty out of the mould and decorate in whichever manner you wish.... then you can either eat them of put in some clear plastic and tie a loop with ribbon at the top and put on your tree. Enjoy either way!

  1. These look so delicious and you've decorated and packaged them so nicely - you should sell these! I'm serious.
